Jabed
Khan
Jabed
(20) joined the club at the age of 16, not only to play football,
but to be with his friends. He immediately fell in love with
the club as they welcomed him with open arms. The club offered
him a friendly environment were he could train and play.
On
the first day when coach told Jabed that he was in the squad,
he was so excited he can still remember the first match he
ever played for Lotus Sports Club. He felt excepted and realised
that being part of this team in this environment was enhancing
his life.
Today
Jabed coaches for Lotus Sports Club as he wants to put something
back into the system and to the coach who he feels has helped
him through so much, not only in his football, but in his
day-to-day life. He doesn't want young people wasting their
talent.
"Lotus
Sports Club helped me become a coach. They helped me to achieve
my FA Level 1, NVQ Level 2 in Sports Coaching, Certificate
Community Sports Work. They also helped me gain years of coaching
experience. This allowed me to pass these courses with ease.
Currently I am studying OCN Level 2 in Youth Work and coaching
as a paid coach at various venues including Redbridge College."
Jabed
is committed to achieving his personal goals when playing,
training and coaching. He also shows extreme enthusiasm to
learn new skills, not only as a player but as a coach as well.
