Thinesh
(21) has been with the club as a junior from when the club
was established in 1998 and with help of the club Thinesh
has developed into a competent and experienced coach. He has
been able to achieve his FA Level 1 and is progressing towards
his FA Level 2 in football coaching as well various other
qualifications that make him a very unique coach. Thinesh
is a very dedicated and devoted player and coach he has been
volunteering and coaching in his free time to help children
develop their talents and bring out their true nature as well
as looking out for the health & safety of those under
his care. Thinesh is an ideal role model that the juniors
look up and they look forward to competing and participating
alongside him in the near future as a senior team member.
Not
only does Thinesh coach the nursery and youth teams but is
also the club secretary for Manor Park United F.C, which is
a club, formed by Lotus in 2007 to primarily focus on the
senior graduates of Lotus SC. Thinesh and along
with his colleague, Jabed
(Lotus Youth Team coach), have organised summer events for
the recruitment of young people to the youth section. This
was achieved through various summer projects organised in
partnership with Little Ilford Youth Zone. Apart from coaching
football skills he also takes care and attention to use every
opportunity to teach young people the various life skills
that are required to progress a young person through life.
Thinesh
is currently in the medical field studying biomedical science
and is in his second year. He has represented the club in
numerous UK Eelam Team representation matches against other
countries. Apart from football he is an extremely good long
distance runner and has been noticed by the club as well as
in his own community. Thinesh is looking to participate in
the London marathon alongside some of the team members trying
in efforts to raise money for the club and thus the community.
He is also part of many youth organisations in London and
regularly gives up his time to meet the needs of young people.
